Classic Broccoli Salad

This broccoli salad is crunch, creamy, sweet, and savory in one bite. It's the perfect side dish for picnics, potlucks, and summer barbecues. It's quick, easy and versatile!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Broccoli florets
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • cup Red onion, finely diced
  • ½ cup Sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • ½ cup Dried-cranberries
  • ½ cup Toasted sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup Mayonaise
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijion mustard
  • Freshy cracked black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Cook bacon until crisp (oven or stovetop), then let it cool and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  • Prep the veggies. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Finely dice the red onion and cube the sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Combine the salad ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, add the broccoli, red onion, bacon, dried-cranberries, and toasted sunflower seeds.
  • Make the salad dressing. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, honey, and freshly ground black pepper until well combined.  
  • Toss and chill. Pour the creamy dressing over the salad and toss until everything is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
